The new data bundle is just N100 for 1GB (1024MB). And can be accumulated with subsequent subscriptions. That is with N500, you can subscribe 5 times in one weekend giving you a total of 5GB (5120MB). Meaning you can use this plan for heavy downloads like upgrading your laptop, downloading games, streaming and watching weekend live premier league matches, movies etc if you find it hard using MTN BIS.
The Data works fine with great speed and can used on every device: Laptops/PC, Android smartphones, iPhones/iPads, Blackberry 10 (BB10), Windows phone, Symbian, Nokia Java phones and any other device you can think of. I consider this the best weekend data plan for now. And the good news is that, No data zapping is involved. Although not all sim is eligible.
How It Works
The plan is a weekend data bundle plan for some whitelisted customers that got a message from Airtel about the plan (Although you can still try your luck even if you didn't get the message). If you subscribe for the plan on on friday, it starts working by 11:59pm on that friday and expires/stops working on Sunday 11.59PM. That is it works on Saturday and Sunday only - meaning Friday is not included. But if you sub on Saturday, it wont expire on Sunday of that same week.
