This New hack Allow Iphone Thieves Bypass your Lock Screen

hello dear 360TG readers
do you know this?i know you may know or not but all the same, secure your phone so tightly because a real hacker always have chances to make useless things useful....

A new hardware hack may help attackers bypass the security offered the iPhone's lock screen, researchers at a security firm disclosed.
MDSec said it did the trick with an IP Box that "brute-forces" the iOS screen lock, even with the iPhone's feature that bricks an iPhone after 10 wrong passcode guesses.
"What is surprising however is that this still works even with the 'Erase data after 10 attempts' configuration setting enabled. Our initial analysis indicates that the IP Box is able to bypass this restriction by connecting directly to the iPhone’s power source and aggressively cutting the power after each failed PIN attempt, but before the attempt has been synchronized to flash memory," it said.
With each PIN entry taking about 40 seconds, it said it could take up to 111 hours to brute-force a four-digit PIN.
In 2014, MDSec tested the attack—without the IP Box—on an iPhone 5S running iOS 8.1.

It said it plans to test the same attack on an iPhone running the more recent iOS 8.2.
But it also hinted the hack works only if the security code requires a four-digit passcode. A complex passcode that includes letters may make things much harder.
For now, it advised users to "ensure you have a sufficiently complex password applied to your device rather than a PIN."
A separate report on The Verge noted the lockscreen is a major anti-theft protection measure of the iPhone.
The new hack "could have a real impact on users," it said.
"More broadly, it's a sign of how exacting security research can be. The only vulnerability here is in the order of processes, displaying that a passcode has failed a few steps before the internal system adds the wrong guess to its running tally. That split second pause was enough to give MDSec an opening, leading to an exceptionally elaborate way to bypass the lockscreen," it said.
